Eulogy to Late Mrs. Luisa Gonzales Traya vda.de Teruel

Death opens the door to life forevermore. It is the soul's emigration into an abode where it is safe and free to live with God through eternity.
As Nay Luisa departs from us ,we accept with resignation that she is now in God's keeping and we trust in His promise of eternal life.for her. Her death is God's affectionate way of calling a good daughter to His side.Time has come for her to be rewarded with heavenly happiness after her long journey of fulfilling a missionof love and service to God and fellowmen.
As we gather around her today, we recollect the fragments of yesterday and the precious moments when she was with us.
She came to Bagumbayan Elementary School one peaceful morning long ago. There was gentleness in her warm, friendly words that made everyone feel at ease and comfortable in her presence.Since the day she came to us as our guardian, she tried her best to guide everyone. She set an example of dedication to sevice and tempered her strictness with kindness. Her cordial dealings with everybody has made support and cooperation easy. Coordination went smoothly, thus good rapport and harmony was established among teachers, pupils an d the community. She was a leader who treated her subordinates with fairness and understanding. To them, she was a source of inspiration and good counsel .She mingled with us ,like a big sister with shoulders to lean on , like a mother always ready to assist and a mentor and confidant willing to listen and enlighten .She shared bright ideas, discussed plans liberally, and was open to suggestions.
As an educator, she envisioned the uplift of the learning institution. She did her best to encourage and inspire the teaches to endlessly strive to provide the children with quality education. Her advocacy was to produce an enlightened  generation. To heave the shadow of ignorance was her obsession. Unwavering in her earnest commitment , she waged her crusade for adequate, better education.
Throughout the years of our togetherness,I have personally observed her genuine concern for the development of the schoolchildren. She initiated the creation of the pupil government organization in order to afford the children with the opportunity to cultivate their sense of responsibility and resourcefulness through undertaking different school activities and projects. She also mothered the organization of the homeroom PTA  give the parents participation in the affairs that concern the welfare of their children.
I stand witness to her being a dedicated and self-sacrificing teacher as she religiously stayed with the children up to the last minute of classes just to make the learn by heart every lesson they are supposed to absorb. I saw how she spared her time with the pupils at the expense of her rest period. From her, I conceived that a teacher who loves her work does not stop tending her flock even beyond the call of duty.I could feel her undying loyalty to the service as she toiled hard and long for the improvement of the school and the welfare of the community. To everyone, she was an ever loyal sympathizer who never hesitated to to go out of her way to extend the assistance she could afford to anyone in need. Whenever she helped, she helped all the way. Her colleagues were fortunate to have her around for she always considered the welfare of others prior to her own. Everyone whose life she has touched will forever remember her as a kind-hearted, congenial person who was full of compassion and understanding.
Her life, so to say, was a mission of love and devotion to the Lord, her family and her profession. Her noble mission which she accomplished with great dedication was her highest offering to God.
Nay Luisa is now going home to our Creator's kingdom. As she journeys to her reunion with the Almighty,we send her off with our songs and prayers. We light candles to brighten her way and lay flowers to wrap her with fragrance . Most of all,we clutch in our hearts the great deeds and sweet memories she has left for us to treasure. As we let go of her, in my heart, I quietly whisper,Farewell ; I have lost my mentor, my beacon light, my "Simon Cereneo",and my keeper of my untold troubles and pains. The flowers will fade, the candles will melt, and the songs will wane in the air, but my prayers , no matter how silent, can reach the heavens and are heard by the Lord. So, sleep now, in ethereal slumber in the angels' lullabies.Farewell, my beloved special Aunt.
