March Important Dates

 1. March 2, 1847 _Birth of Cayetano Arellano ,the First Chief Justice of the  Supreme Court 
2. March 8_Universal Women's Day
3.Marc 9, 1891_ Birth of Pres. Jose P. Laurel  _ Secretary of the Interior during the  administration of Gov. Leonard Wood . He was elected as delegate to the 1934 Constitutional Convention where he authored the Bill of Rights  He was one of the "seven wise men " who drafted the charter as he was       a foremost Filipino authority on Constitutional law. He served the three  branches of the government during the Commonwealth years; he  became Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, then, its Chief Justice,  and later, Secretary of Justice. In 1943 , he became President of the  Philippines during the Japanese occupation. In his life , he was inspired  by the ideals and teachings of Rizal , Mabini , Bonifacio and M. H .del   Pilar.
