Tigbauan, You Are Blest

Tigbauan, you are fairly honored,
A home sprawling along a seamless shore;
Your history was vividly sculptured,
Through many a long years of endeavor.

Tigbauan, you are an enchanting gem,
Studded at the hem of the Visayas
Land that was destined by the Messias,
Wherein paganism will forever crash.

It was your bosom which God has chosen,
Where Christianity was earnestly sown;
A religion that was a priced token,
Of the Jesuit priest with a great mission.

Your children aptly acknowledged right then
The gift of faith in Father in heaven,
That was brought to your uncharted haven,
By the friars from the country of Spain.

You're the sanctuary of devotees,
Of the Beloved Holy Child Jesus;
Acclaimed as the second patron of the place,
Because of His being miraculous.

Tigbauan, you are a town that is blest,
Because your deeply devoted parish,
Has a church built out of love so lavish,
A temple of unwavering oneness.

Likened to a dream that at last came true,
The fern decked church that was built long ago,
Is now made exquisite as promised so,
Tigbauan, with love, 'tis offered to you!

(This is a singable English version of "Bulahan Ka, Tigbauan")
